BSC GLASGOW keeper Matt McGinley has joined Highland League club Buckie Thistle until the end of the season.
Matt recently moved north to Aberdeen on a placement as he continues his studies as a PE teacher.
This made training with the BSC squad impossible for the next four months and the club fixed up sessions at Aberdeen and Turriff United.
That led to Matt’s availability becoming known and he made his debut on the bench for Buckie in the 2-2 draw at Turriff on Saturday.
Matt said: “I’m really enjoying life up here. I knew I was up north until the summer and this is a great solution.
“I know I am in the BSC plans for next season and we can review the situation come May but for now I’d like to thank the club for all their help sorting my move out.
“I still watch for every result and I am delighted the club have made the last eight of the SFA Challenge Cup.”
BSC have moved quickly to replace Matt with Italian keeper Bruno Maltoni brought in as competition for the jersey with Iain Stewart.
Bruno has already proved popular with the squad and will fight it out for the no.1 slot with Iain over the next few months.
