BSC GLASGOW SFA Challenge Cup Final hero Callum Home has pledged his future to the club until May 2017.
The 22-year-old defender signed his new deal in the build-up to the 2-0 triumph over Civil Service Strollers at Whitehill Welfare’s Ferguson Park at the weekend.
Home – who spent four years on a soccer scholarship at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennesee before returning home from the USA a year ago - then underlined the coaching’s staff’s faith in him with an outstanding display in the Final as the club clinched a major trophy in their rookie season.
And he told bscglasgow.co.uk: “I’ve loved it since the coaching staff brought me to BSC and Saturday crowned it all.
“It was a terrific feeling and underlined to me that this is a club I want to be a part of over the next couple of seasons as we develop.
“Progressing as a player on the training field is hugely important to me and I know there will always be a focus on that here.”
Home will now return to pre-season training with the 2015/16 squad on Monday June 29 ahead of the first pre-season friendly at home to Northern League side Newcastle Benfield on Saturday July 4.
Head coach Iain King said: “I’m thrilled Callum is committed to the club for the next two years.
“He is developing into an excellent modern-day defender, able to come out of the backline and play accurate passes.
“He’s also shown his versatility at both right-back and holding midfield and will be a mainstay for us next season .”
