BSC Glasgow face a challenging start to the 2018/19 Lowland League season with matches against rivals East Kilbride and East Stirlingshire in quick succession.
We travel to the Falkirk Stadium on opening day to face a refreshed Shire side featuring former BSC man Robbie McNab, before welcoming East Kilbride to the Indodrill and then travelling to Galashiels to take on Gala Fairydean Rovers under new manager Dean Shanks.
Then it’s the soon-to-be renamed Edusport Academy who pop by the Indodrill before we have our first ever competitive match against EoS Champions Kelty Hearts who will be looking to challenge at the top end of the Lowland League this season.
Since our matches against East Stirlingshire are always such entertaining affairs, we’ll be playing them twice in four days as rule changes to the Irn-Bru Cup mean that we must play in a preliminary round to accommodate invited teams.
Manager Stephen Swift told us: “You could say the fixture list hasn’t been all that kind but in reality it’s the perfect challenge to start off the season with. Last season’s openers proved the foundation for a good run and the boys will be buzzing to get off to a good start.”
East Stirlingshire (A) – 28th July
East Kilbride (H) – 4th August
Gala Fairydean Rovers (A) – 11th August
Edusport Academy (H) – 18th August
Kelty Hearts (H) – 25th August
Full fixtures are available on the Lowland League’s website: slfl.co.uk and will be added to our site in short order.
