BSC Glasgow picked up another convincing win, hammering six past Edinburgh University with Jamie Glasgow adding to his already impressive goal tally with a stunning hat trick.

Unsurprisingly, there were no changes to the starting line-up, however Andy Geggan, Jamie McCormack and Ross McMillan returned on the bench.

The university side started off strong attempting to feed some decent through balls to attacking midfielder Patrick Baird. However, it was BSC Glasgow who broke the deadlock early on after Jamie Glasgow was pulled down on the edge of the box. Declan Hughes stepped up for the free kick and with the ball taking a bounce, caught out Uni keeper Connor Barnes and slipped into the back of the net.

The chances continued to flow for Stephen Swift’s men – Andy Monk was determined to get on the score sheet but he had no luck early on while Dec Hughes went for another free kick but this one could only smash off the wall.

In the 16th minute, Jamie Glasgow bagged his first goal of the afternoon – he easily dispossessed Uni centre back Louis Squires and sliced a low shot past Barnes which bounced off the post and in giving BSC a two goal advantage.

Only fifteen minutes later and Jamie Glasgow picked up his second – a contender for goal of the season – as he got onto a header down from Declan Hughes after a Uni clearance and from 35 yards out hit a looping shot with Barnes off his line.

Before the break, the hat trick was cemented for the forward. In almost a carbon copy following a clearance, Jamie Hamilton picked out Glasgow and from outside the box, another curling shot found its way past Barnes into the top right hand corner, giving the away side a seemingly insurmountable advantage going into the break.

Just after the break, Andy Geggan came on replacing Andy Monk and it seemed inevitable the midfielder would break into the score line.

Only four minutes after coming onto the pitch, the a good pass from Hamilton picked out Geggan on the edge of the box and he fired in a low shot adding to his tally of long-rangers for the season.

It was BSC who continued to dominate the second half. Ryan Tierney and Ross Lindsay came off the bench replacing hat trick hero Jamie Glasgow and Michael Anderson.

Edinburgh Uni had a few chances to grab a consolation but couldn’t convert anything. Just before full time, it was Ryan Tierney who grabbed BSC’s sixth goal of the afternoon – a fantastic cross from Declan Hughes allowed Tierney to rise up and header into the back of the net.

A perfect afternoon at East Peffermill saw us finish the day top of the Lowland League table! Nice!
