Lowland League Preview: Berwick Rangers (H)

Back in November, we had the pleasure of traveling down to Shielfield Park securing a 1-0 win in a hard fought game in which a Thomas Collins penalty was the difference between the two sides.

While the focus of many off the field may be on next weekend, the players and manager will be fully focused as they look to avoid another nervy affair against the men from across the border.

Coming off that 4-1 win over Caledonian Braves last weekend is a positive for BSC Glasgow after a tough first half at Alliance Park, however, Ian Little’s men do not have that luxury.

Suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of East Kilbride, the Black and Gold haven’t won a fixture since the end of December when they were able to seal a win over Caledonian Braves. With only draws over Gretna 2008 and Gala Fairydean Rovers, Berwick Rangers will be desperate for points to pull them away from the bottom six.

Another potential positive for BSC Glasgow is that Ricky Miller (who was signed with BSC at the beginning of the season before moving Berwick Rangers), a player who caused us some issues back in November has since moved to East Kilbride along with striker Daryl Healy.

However, the manager will not underestimate Berwick, who have been in recruitment mode throughout January and could potentially prove a very different prospect to the team that we met at Shielfield Park.

We’ll have a limited number of Terracing tickets for the Hibernian Scottish Cup match available at the ground today too, so if you’ve not got one yet this is your chance.
