Update on Adam Strachan & Match vs Whitehill Welfare

As most people will be aware, last night’s GeoSonic Lowland League match against Whitehill Welfare was abandoned in the last ten minutes due to a horrific injury sustained by our player, Adam Strachan.

After being taken to Forth Valley hospital last night, Adam was found to have multiple fractures of the fibula and a suspected dislocated ankle. At the moment we don’t have a timeframe for when he will be back but the prognosis – unfortunately – isn’t good.

Thank you to our physio Lynn Glen for her quick and decisive action on the pitch, and to Frank Fleming from Whitehill Welfare for his support of Adam in the immediate aftermath of the injury.

At the moment we are unaware of whether the result of the match will stand as it was at the time of the abandonment or if the match will have to be replayed later in the season but we will provide an update on that as soon as we get one.

In the meantime we as a club will endeavour to provide Adam with whatever support he needs to aid in his recovery and we thank everyone for their kind wishes.
